Hello there, welcome to my site! I am an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at the Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas, USA.

My research interests include: (i) Human Aspects in Software Engineering, (ii) Software Security, (iii) Source Code Analysis, (iv) Natural Language Processing, & (v) Bioinformatics. I often blend my research interests and apply various techniques, such as Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Graph Theories to come up with useful tools and interesting insights (achieved empirically) for the greater benefits of concerned communities. Please see my lists of publications  and projects for the details of my work.

Winning of several financial awards, best paper and poster awards, and invitations to various journals for publications are some forms of acknowledgments and appreciations of my work. Please see the list of awards for details.

I earned my Ph.D. in Computer Science (major in Software Engineering) from the University of New Orleans (UNO), Louisiana, USA, under the supervision of Dr. Minhaz F. Zibran. During my Ph.D. study, I was a member of  Laboratory for Software Engineering Research (LaSER) and UNO Cyber Center at UNO.

Before starting my Ph.D., I spent almost seven years in giant software and telecom companies in Bangladesh (see my background). During that time, I was fortunate enough to gain extensive knowledge in software development processes & big data analytics.

I am open to collaborate and share my knowledge with you to expand my horizon of wisdom. Please feel free to email me: mislam108 (at) lamar [dot] edu for any query or concern. Happy browsing!!
