The spice of my college life started actually when I entered senior high school. Before the start of my grade 11 year way back in 2019, I auditioned for PnC Chorale and senior high school students were welcomed to join as well since we are affiliated to the school during that time. I have no background about music or choir yet I have the guts to sing on stage with a big crowd watching. After that, we had the session of assessment, long story short, they said I was of key and tone deaf that time. However, they still passed me because I have the potential. During the course of rehearsals, I was able to learn about Music Theory, how to read notes, their names and countings, and my being deaf to tone gradually improved until I was able to hear the difference per note. At the present, I am BASS 2 in chorale, the lowest voice of the group. I can also manipulate my voice and manage its inflection. I also received positive feedbacks from our seniors that I had improved a lot from being a novice into one of the pillars of the group as of today. I didn't expect it though because there were so many times I wanted to quit the organization but I chose to stay and grow, and it is worth it. I made a family with chorale.

In scouting, we have 23 merit badges that represent different life skills and good behavior. For example, cooking, swimming, first aid, music, arts, citizenship to nation, citizenship to home, and so on that we learned and acquired through the process of attaining the Eagle Scout Rank. Laguna Council is the only scouting council in the Philippines which created special training for their scouts to become more committed to excellence. I'm honored that I was able to participate in the two special trainings they conducted–the Boy Scout of Laguna Eagle Scouts Skills Enhancement & Demonstration (BLESSED) and Laguna Eagle Scouts Training on Emergency Response and Rescue (LESTER). Basically these two trainings taught us on how to develop and cultivate our communication, teaching, and skills. The BLESSED training trained us on how to become effective facilitators and effective teachers to our fellow scouts while LESTER taught us basic life support, first aid, and emergency response. That’s the time I decided to use first aid as my specialized skill. Every camp I’m always assigned to a first aid station. My memorable experience as a first aider was when I responded to one of the participants of the camp during hiking. I was the only first aider in the river area that time and that scout was hyperventilating because of her asthma. I successfully provided her the first aid she needed while waiting for the stretcher and other responders.
