Streaming iheart radio
IHeartRadio is connected to over 1,500 radio stations. This is a VERY powerful and important tool to promote songs.
Whenever you hear 'Sally Walker' playing on one of its stations, you need to give it THUMBS UP. The more Azaleans that do this, the more popular the song will be and get the attention of IHeartRadio.
To do that, you must have an account.
International Azaleans - Iheartradio is only for US residents so you'll need to use IP changing apps (see list here)
There are 2 ways to create an account and listen to any of the iheart radio stations:
1. Via phone/ipad
2. Via iheartradio station website
How to create an account using the IHeartRadio site
1. Open an IP changing app (there are many - to see the full list, see here). In this tutorial I'll be using Zenmate (see guide here).
2. Go to http://www.iheart.com/
3. Click on "Sign up"
4. After you click "Sign up", a window will pop up asking you to register either by using an Email, Google+ or FaceBook.
The best way to connect that won't give you any issues is by using Facebook account.
Don't worry, it won't post on your behalf without your permition.
5. After clicking "Facebook", it will ask you to login to your FB account. Click "Okay".
Then, it will ask you "iHeartRadio would like to post to Facebook for you" Just click "Skip" if you don't wish for that.
After you press "Skip", the pop-up window will close and you'll go back to the site, seeing your FB name in the up-right corner of the site.
6. Now all you need is to choose your radio station (for SNOL, all iheart radio stations will play Iggy so it doesn't matter which one you choose. I would suggest Z100).
You'll see stations recommended for you. If Z100 isn't on there, you could press the small arrow (see blue arrow in the picture) to see other radio stations.
Once you click on the radio station, it will start a 30 seconds commercial and then start to play.
7. Whenever you hear 'Sally Walker' playing (especially when SNOL plays it), please click "THUMBS UP" (which will tell the radio's DJ that you want to hear this song MORE).
How to create an account using the IHeartRadio app
you can install iheart radio on any platform (iphone, android, ipad, microsoft phone etc).
For international azaleans - you might not have the app on your app/google store since you're not from US, so first use IP Changing app (like Hotspot Shield or TunnelBear)
Then you'll be able to install the app and just press "Sign up" (easiest way is to use Facebook to connect).
Use the search icon to find Z100 and once you'll hear 'Sally Walker' playing, give it THUMBS UP (which will tell the radio's DJ that you want to hear this song MORE).
Giving THUMBS UP to Iggy's song on one of Iheart radio stations is SO important, so please be ready with an account, especially when SNOL airs (Saturdays 7-10 pm ET).
