I am a dancer, performer and international Balboa and Slow Balboa instructor.
Balboa is a couple dance tyipically performed on up-tempo swing music and characterised by subtle and intircate footwork, fast rotations and a deep connection with your partner. I also enjoy practicing and teaching other dances from the swing era such as Lindy Hop and Collegiate Shag.
For me dancing is a perfect counter balance to mathematics, while I can still employ the same skills of creativity, organization and communication.
I will be teaching Balboa and/or Slow Balboa at the following events/locations in 2026. Come find me!

I am also an amateur photographer, and I am passionate about playing my electric guitars and listening to blues, swing and rock music.
Although I had to substantially give up the instrument during my academic studies, I happily came back to it when I started my PhD. A guitar is the best companion for your soul.
