Welcome and Announcements

Leon Kuehener (IAAE Executive Director and Mentor Program Co-Administrator) and Cassidy Noring (Mentor Program Co-Administrator) will share information about the Iowa Alliance for Arts Education and how it can help you!

They will also explain the opportunites that the IAAE mentoring program offers to young professionals in our state. David Law, IAAE Chair, will also welcome participants to the Fall Symposium.

Panel Discussion involving 2nd/3rd-year arts educators. Presenters will discuss the joys and struggles of the first year of teaching.

The "Observation Mentor Program" component of the Iowa Model of Excellence Arts Mentor Program will be explored. 2nd-year arts educators and their mentors will share their experiences about collboration and designing their mentor experience.
