Volunteers are needed to help fill the roles shown below. Volunteers must be 21 years or older.
In addition to the role-specific duties, all volunteers must complete several other tasks in order to work with the Trap Club.
All volunteers must:
- Attend a Basic Shotgun Certification coaching class. This must be completed even if a volunteer is not working directly with athletes in a coaching capacity. The one-day class costs $60. An NRA/USA Shooting Level I course is also acceptable, but the course will have a broader focus than the Basic class and is (currently) $180.
- Take the online Double Goal coaching class and pass the exam. Class is free with voucher code.
- Submit to and pass a background check processed by SSSF. SSSF's background check costs about $13 and is paid online.
- Fill out the SCTP Volunteer Form pay membership dues $50 ($30 SCTP, $20 ATA)
If you are interested in volunteering, contact Nathan Gibson (amngibson@gmail.com) to receive an initial packet to get started.
Some volunteer roles can be full-time or part-time. Part-time assistant coaches are welcome, but cannot count towards the student to coach ratio unless every practice and match is covered. This can be achieved by multiple part-time coaches committing to certain weeks or months to achieve a full time coach equivalent.
