If you want a high-tech translation tool with an LCD screen and deep AI features for your PS5 setup, choose Hyyeosd NE20; if you need a lightweight, sweatproof fitness headset with physical buttons and superior bass clarity, choose TALIX Open Ear Clip-On.
• Hyyeosd NE20: Its biggest strength is the integrated 135-language real-time translation capability paired with an LCD touch interface on the case, but it trades off a standard in-ear fit that might not suit those who hate occlusion.
• TALIX Open Ear Clip-On: Its biggest strength is the secure, breathable open-ear design with Bluetooth 6.0 and dual-device switching, but it trades off advanced translation features entirely.
• Who it's for: The Hyyeosd is for the global traveler or gamer needing instant language bridges; the TALIX is for the active user or office worker prioritizing situational awareness and call clarity.
The Hyyeosd NE20 stands out immediately because it is built as much for communication across borders as it is for listening to audio. This isn't just a pair of earbuds; it is a functional device designed to bridge language gaps in real time. With support for up to 135 languages and accents, including major ones like English, Spanish, Chinese, French, and German, these earbuds promise over 98% accuracy with a delay of less than two seconds. For someone using this as a gaming headset for PS5 during online sessions with international teammates, the ability to translate chat instantly could be a game-changer. The device operates through a companion app compatible with both iOS and Android, offering six distinct modes ranging from Free Talk to Photo Translation and Voice Memos.
What truly separates the NE20 from standard wireless earbuds is the hardware control available directly on the charging case. The unit features an LCD color display that allows users to manage over 15 functions without ever pulling out their phone. You can adjust volume, switch EQ modes, select languages, set alarms, use a stopwatch, or even trigger your phone's camera remotely right from the case. This level of direct control is rare in the true-wireless space. The audio itself is powered by dynamic drivers covering a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, ensuring that while you are translating, you are also getting high-fidelity sound for music or voice chat. The noise control relies on sound isolation, which helps block out ambient distractions during calls.

However, the NE20 is not a universal solution for every listener. It utilizes an in-ear design with silicone earpieces weighing 8.2 grams each. While this provides a secure fit ideal for sports and commuting, it means the ear canal is occupied. If you have sensitive ears or simply dislike the feeling of having something inside your ear, this model might feel intrusive after extended wear. Furthermore, the battery life offers up to 6 hours of continuous use on a single charge, extending to 60 hours total with the case. While substantial, this is primarily focused on the heavy processing load of translation and app connectivity. It is best suited for business travelers, students learning languages, or gamers who need a dedicated translation tool alongside their entertainment.
The TALIX Open Ear Clip-On takes a completely different approach to the headphone market, focusing entirely on comfort, safety, and audio quality rather than complex software features. These earbuds utilize an open-ear design with a memory titanium C-bridge and soft TPU flexible joints. Weighing only 5 grams per earbud, they sit lightly on the ear without entering the canal. This makes them exceptionally comfortable for all-day wear, whether you are working in a busy office, running errands, or engaging in long gaming sessions where you still need to hear your surroundings. The open design ensures breathability and eliminates the pressure fatigue often associated with traditional in-ear monitors.
Audio performance is a key pillar for the TALIX X8. It is equipped with 11mm dual-magnet dynamic drivers and a proprietary dynamic bass algorithm. This setup delivers rich, punchy bass and a wide soundstage with low distortion, making it excellent for immersive music and clear vocal reproduction. For a gamer looking for a headset for PS5, the wide soundstage can provide better spatial awareness in games. Connectivity is another major win here; the device uses the latest Bluetooth 6.0 technology, providing a lag-free connection with a stable signal up to 33 feet. This is crucial for wireless gaming where any delay can ruin the experience. Additionally, the dual-device connection allows you to stay connected to both a laptop and a smartphone simultaneously, making multitasking seamless.
The control scheme on the TALIX is refreshingly tactile. Instead of relying on touch sensors which can be finicky when wearing gloves or sweating, these earbuds feature physical push-button controls. This ensures reliable management of volume, tracks, and calls even in challenging conditions. The microphones are equipped with AI Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) and dual-mic arrays to filter out mid- and low-frequency background noise, keeping your voice clear during conference calls. Battery life is solid with 6 hours of uninterrupted listening on a single charge and up to 21 hours total with the charging case. It is IPX4 sweatproof, making it a robust choice for workouts. This product is ideal for runners, commuters, and professionals who value situational awareness and call clarity over translation features.

In my opinion, if you are specifically setting up a rig for gaming or using a headset for PS5, the TALIX Open Ear Clip-On is the smarter choice for daily use. The combination of Bluetooth 6.0 stability, the open-ear design that prevents ear fatigue during long sessions, and the reliable physical buttons makes it far more practical for gaming than the translation-focused Hyyeosd. While the NE20 is a fascinating gadget for travel, its in-ear design and focus on app-based translation make it less ideal as a primary gaming peripheral. I would recommend the TALIX for anyone wanting a versatile, comfortable, and high-quality audio experience without the complexity of translation software. However, if your primary goal is to break down language barriers while playing or traveling, the Hyyeosd NE20 remains a unique tool that no other device can replicate.
Both models work wirelessly, but the TALIX Open Ear Clip-On is better suited for gaming due to its Bluetooth 6.0 low-latency connection and open-ear comfort for long sessions. The Hyyeosd NE20 includes a microphone and works for calls, but its primary focus is translation rather than pure gaming audio fidelity.
No, the product information states that the NE20 intelligent earbuds combine AI features for free without additional fees once paired with the Earjoy app. The translation service is included as part of the device's core functionality.
The TALIX Open Ear Clip-On features advanced AI Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) with dual microphones to filter background noise clearly. The Hyyeosd NE20 offers sound isolation via its in-ear fit and call noise cancellation, but the TALIX emphasizes real-time AI filtering for natural-sounding conversations.
Both the Hyyeosd NE20 and the TALIX Open Ear Clip-On offer up to 6 hours of continuous playback or usage on a single charge. The Hyyeosd extends to 60 hours total with its case, while the TALIX provides up to 21 hours total with its case.
