Welcome! My name is Hyunseok Lee (I often go by 'Hyun'). 

I am a PLS fellow at MIT Physics of Living Systems (01/2023-12/2025). 

I explore how complex systems out of equilibrium, such as microbial communities and marine organism collectives, develop structures in space and time through interactions that break symmetries.
