I aim to build sustainable systems in which undergraduate students can develop mathematical independence through research, peer learning, and problem solving.
I supervise undergraduate students through seminars, guided problem solving, small research projects, and collaborative manuscript preparation.
The program is designed to help students progress from learning advanced mathematics to conducting original research.
Selected outcomes
Undergraduate students participating in research projects in knot theory
Student coauthored papers and manuscripts
Three-page indices of torus links, published in JKTR with undergraduate students Useong Jang and Minseo Lee
PrimeMath is an undergraduate mathematics problem-solving group founded in 2024.
The program combines:
peer mentoring between senior and junior students,
study of past competition problems,
problem-solving seminars,
experience sharing by previous prize winners,
mock examinations and feedback.
