Thank you for using PDF Viewer ("the App"), developed by Hyseage Infotech ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and what rights you have. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled responsibly.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

The App requests read access to your device's local storage solely to let you browse and open PDF files you choose. This permission is used only at the moment you select a file and is limited to reading the file's content for display within the App.
On Android 13 and above, the App uses the system file picker — no broad storage access is requested.
On Android 12 and below, the READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission is requested (capped at API level 32) to allow file access.
The App never writes to, modifies, or deletes your PDF files.
The App does not require or use internet access. There is no INTERNET permission in the App's manifest. All functionality — including file opening, rendering, text search, and reading progress — works completely offline.
The App includes a Share feature that allows you to share a PDF file with other apps on your device (e.g., email, messaging) using Android's secure FileProvider mechanism. This sharing is initiated entirely by you and the file is passed directly to the app you choose. We do not intercept, upload, or store any file during this process.
The following data is stored locally on your device only using Android's internal app storage (not accessible to other apps without root):
Recent files list — file names and URIs of PDFs you have opened.
Reading progress — the last-read page number for each file.
App preferences — settings such as dark/light theme and scroll direction.
This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing the App's data in your device settings, or by using the "Clear History" option within the App.
The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools (e.g., no Firebase Analytics, no AdMob, no Crashlytics). Your data is never shared with any third party.
The App is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). Since the App collects no personal data whatsoever, it is safe for use by children.
Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete on our end. All locally stored app data (history, preferences) is under your full control via your device settings.
If you have any privacy-related concerns, please contact us at the email address provided below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
