I don't know about the Viva or any other NCL ship for that matter. But Yesterday 4/12/2023, I was able to book the Vibe for the Getaway sailing 2/16/2024. I have done the Posh/Vibe on every NCL ship I have been on since the year the Epic came out. This is the first time I won't have to rush to the ship, I am very happy about that. So at least with the Getaway I was able to book the Vibe Beach Club 310 days before sailing. I am doing a back to back, (booked under one confirmation), so actually that is probably at least 320 days before. However, I was not able to get a definitive response from NCL on how long before a cruise this would be possible.

I had to book over the phone, this was probably because I have a back to back cruise booked under the same booking number. But, I think they did tell me that one could only book over the phone, it is possible they were only talking about me. I paid a total of $578 for all 20 days. Getaway (SAILING: 16-Feb-2024 to 7-Mar-2024).

Certainly, if you don't want to be on deck or go to a pool bar, use a jacuzzi, or find a chaise lounge or have a convenient shower to cool off or generally be pampered it is a waste of money. Since they have always sold out on every cruise I have been on, clearly, many people do not feel this way.

Also, if the Vibe Beach Club was ever overcrowded, that is, they sold too many passes, no one would ever buy Vibe Beach Club passes again and they would do away with the entire concept. Certainly I have found value in the Club, or I would not keep buying it. I assume you had a bad experience purchasing the Posh / Vibe Beach Club in the past; when was that cruise?

I did wish that Prima had an area that was adults only like Spice H2O on the Breakaway and most Breakaway plus class ships. Of course, if they continue building ships with limited available hot tubs, I will cruise with other lines that have included adult only areas that have hot tubs and pools such as Royal Caribbean or Holland America Line.

The option for the group to divide and conquer to participate in activities of personal interest is endless. Or you can choose to do everything together. Between relaxing by the pool, shows from the artists and comedians on board, entertainment from the cruise director, shopping extravaganzas, and more, there usually is something for everyone.

By no means am I an expert when it comes to cruises; however, I have gone on 5 different cruises to date. As you can with that statement, I enjoy cruising overall. In my experience, the pros outweigh the cons and they provide an excellent vacation option. I recapped my cruise experiences below:

Ever since my best friend and I met in college freshmen year, we have been taking spring break trips together. We unintentionally continued the tradition once we graduated and once we realized what we were doing, we decided to deliberately make an effort to continue the tradition. One of the trips post-graduation was a five-day cruise to the Bahamas aboard the Carnival Ecstasy. We sailed out of the Port of Charleston, which I will personally never do again. I reviewed our entire experience here.

Joining the Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise and Four Seasons Party Cruise out at sea this month was the first-ever UberSoca Cruise, from Miami to Jamaica. With featured performers including Destra Garcia, Kes the Band, Lyrikal, Kevin Lyttle and Ricardo Drue, the cruise brought Carnival culture out to sea. Smartly, it also featured live stand-up from Caribbean comedy king Majah Hype.

The main point of the Disney Wish is for you to spend more money, on drinks, gifts, and hype. Hey are you interested in the $150k yellow diamond ring that they tried to sell my wife? Does $112k on a 5 year interest free plan make it sound more worth your while?????

Our cruise was during peak season in the summer, when many families are on vacation because kids are off from school, so I'm sure this had an influence on how crowded everything felt. The ship may have been a little quieter at other times of the year. We also might have had an easier trip if we'd sailed on a ship that was smaller and not targeted toward families.

If I went on another cruise, I wouldn't spend as much time with the onboard entertainment. Instead, I'd seek out quieter parts of the ship. One of my most cherished moments of the trip is when my sister and I had a nearly empty swimming pool to ourselves, as most of the ship's occupants were either at dinner or heading to a show.

I'd never traveled anywhere in Spain or Portugal before, so I was excited for the stops on our cruise. After a little bit, I also found myself craving some time on dry land and away from the hustle and bustle of the ship.

Innovative, revolutionary, and bold are all words used to describe the first in the new class of ships from Celebrity Cruises, a vast departure from the Solstice class or, for that matter, any other cruise ships out there.

Oceanview Caf, the main buffet, is pretty much similar to other cruise ships. It offered a wide selection of choices and was busy in the morning, lunch, and sea days. There was a large amount of seating, including some outside, and I never had a problem finding a spot. I liked how they had a separate area for pizza and ice cream, which diverted people from the main food area.

I was also impressed with the food, including a a mouth watering beef tenderloin in pastry. It was so good that we went twice, and it actually became quite busy by the end of the cruise as word of mouth got out about its delicious cuisine. Based on this experience, I would recommend skipping the steakhouse and heading to Normandie to satisfy your beef craving.

On my previous cruise on Celebrity Equinox, I had excellent wait staff in the main dining room, and toward the end of the cruise, they knew my tastes and preferences and made excellent recommendations for food and wine. I missed this on the Edge.

The ship's architectural elements and overall design is nothing like I have seen on any other cruise ship. I was blown away by the number of art pieces, including paintings and sculptures, throughout the ship. This was unexpected and may seem trivial, but I still think about post cruise.

There were numerous sculptural pieces throughout the ship that held my eye, including a White Pearl piece, which seemed to be a play on the Black Pear from the famous Pirate of the Caribbean movies. There were also wooden sculptures of people, which seemed to stare at me, despite having no faces. Excellent pieces and thought provoking, exactly what art should be, and most unexpected on a cruise ship.

There were several upscale shops on the ship, all with standard ones like Tiffany. Although I saw a beautiful watch in Bulgari, by the name alone, I knew it was out of my price range and did not venture in. I can't recall seeing anyone in there or Cartier during the cruise.

I first thought the Magic Carpet would be a bit gimmick, but it was much more. Another multipurpose space - a bar, a restaurant, and a launching point for tenders. On one of the sea days, we were lucky enough to score a seat there. It has the perfect amount of shade and incredible views. For my next cruise, I would love to try dinner on it.

We happened to be cruising on Valentine's Day, and everyone who wanted was invited to participate in a vow renewal, a fleet wide event. It looked like at least 100 people participated, and we were treated to a glass of bubbly afterward. I even received a certificate before the end of the cruise to reconfirm my marital status. Nice touch, Celebrity.

One of the best perks of sailing on an Edge class series is the size of the ship. Big enough to offer all the modern amenities you expect in a cruise ship but small enough to fit through the Panama Canal.

One of the best things I did onboard was a ship tour. This has been something I always thought of doing, and I was well organized this time and booked it before we boarded. It is kind of genius that cruise lines charge you for this and that they sell out.

Celebrity has definitely pushed boundaries with the Edge. They have reimagined spaces and challenged some of the traditional cruise ship designs. The ship lived up to the hype by providing a well designed ship with great amenities, tasty food, and very good service. These are things we all want in a cruise vacation.

I am not sure I need all of the modern design for a great cruise, but the ship has tons of terrific amenities, and its size means it has a lot of possible itineraries. It will be interesting to see how dated the ship will look in another five years, as modern design changes rather quickly.

Eleven days is a significant amount of time that lets you explore and experience the ship, as well as fantastic ports. A genuinely relaxing cruise vacation. I can say with certainty that I would sail on the Celebrity Edge series again.

Split bathrooms mean someone can be taking a shower or getting ready at the mirror, while another uses the restroom. Plus, the addition of a tub is a luxury not often found for cruisers with young children. e24fc04721
