We went to see how play-dough workshop works. The idea was that the students had to make some play-dough figures and after that they had to make a video that includes those figures. The teacher Outi Pihlaja showed them a video made by other students. It wasn’t long but the students got the idea and started working their own animations.
There were play-dough in different colours. Red, yellow, blue etc. Some of the groups had an idea already and started making them right away. Like always, we did an interview for workshops keeper Outi Pihlaja. She told us about workshop and what does she think about it as well.
What made you keep this workshop?
-I am a biography teacher and we haven’t done any animations yet. So, I thought that it would be fun.
Have you already seen animations made by students and what do you think about them?
-This year we don’t have that much time in the workshops so students can’t finish their animations properly. But during the years we have got amazing animations even the result hasn’t been that good. The most important thing is still the joy of working!
We asked about workshop from one of the students. He thought it was nice and he chose the workshop because his friends wanted to go there too. His group were agreeing with that opinion as well.
Here is some pictures of students play-dough works. There were some miniature food and characters. All of them were very imaginative but that’s the reason why it was fun looking. Nina become very inspired and made Pickle Rick.
