More about me...
I spent part of my childhood in Manchester, England, where I lived with my family for seven years. I still cherish many beautiful memories and friendships back from then.
Visiting Ethiopia, Oct. 2024
Last year, I had the opportunity to visit Ethiopia, and the experience left a lasting imprint on my academic perspective. Alongside the beautiful landscapes and the rich historical heritage of Axum and the Tigray region, I observed firsthand how limited infrastructure, constrained manufacturing capacity, trade imbalances, and high poverty rates shape everyday economic realities. Conversations with local officials gave me deeper insight into the complex interplay among trade dynamics, financial conditions, industrial structure, and labor-market barriers. This field experience has broadened the way I think about economic development and strengthened the motivation behind my research.Â
