Just like the lily of the valley, Jesus is one of a kind, and He completes our souls. As the chorus says, "He's the lily of the valley, the bright and morning star. He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul." Jesus is the one who can safely guide us back to heaven, and He will provide everything we need as long as we invite Him to stay with us today.
This is a song that was written by Martin J. Nystrom in 1984, based on Psalm 42:1 'As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after Thee; You alone are my heart's desire, and I long to worship Thee.' Whether we are in good or bad circumstances, we need to seek God. During peaceful times, we can enjoy the sun and laughter with God, and during difficult times, He will accompany and help us. He alone is our strength and shield, and He will listen to our prayers and comfort us.
This is a joyous hymn. The lyrics of this hymn's chorus, "Hosanna," mean "oh save!" It also expresses our admiration and praise for God. Our God is wonderful and righteous, merciful and compassionate. He is worthy of our praise!
Finding true peace is difficult in our busy lives amidst our constant stresses and responsibilities. In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let it be afraid”
Jesus tells us that we should not be troubled, since He has promised to give us peace. This peace is not just a fleeting sense of comfort from this world; instad, it fills us with lasting contentment which fills our hearts with love and joy.
Ephesians 1:18: “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.”
The Bible tells us that once we have received the living water - the Holy Spirit - our spiritual eyes will be opened. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth and will guide us into all truth. Let us ask our Heavenly Father to open our eyes so that we may understand His teachings and purpose for our lives.
Behold, how blessed are those who know God and are His children! As his child, we have a loving God whom we can call our Father, a God who hears each and every one of our prayers, a God who will always love us, and a God who will guide us through each and every step of our lives by the grace He gives.
