This Privacy Policy explains how HydroSip ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application ("App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. What the App Does
HydroSip is a water intake tracking application that helps users monitor daily hydration, set goals, receive reminders, and view analytics about their drinking habits. The App offers optional AI-powered hydration coaching for premium subscribers.
2. Information We Collect
a) Account Information
We collect the following depending on how you sign in:
- Email & Password: Your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.
- Sign in with Apple: Your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email if you choose to hide your email). We never receive your Apple password.
- Sign in with Google: Your name, email address, and profile photo. We never receive your Google password.
This data is used only to create your account, verify your identity, and give you access to the App.
b) Health & Hydration Data
When you log water intake, the App stores:
- Water entry amounts and timestamps
- Daily hydration goals
- Streak and completion data
- Reminder preferences
For free users, all data is stored locally on your device only. For premium subscribers, data is synced to Google Firebase cloud servers to enable cross-device access and backup.
c) Apple HealthKit Data
If you enable Apple Health integration, the App writes your water intake data to Apple HealthKit. We only write data — we do not read or access other health data from HealthKit. HealthKit data is never transferred to our servers or shared with third parties.
d) AI Coaching Data (Premium Only)
Premium subscribers may receive AI-powered hydration tips. To generate these tips, anonymized hydration data (intake amounts, goals, streaks) is sent to third-party AI providers. Important details:
- Your data is processed in real time and not stored after the result is returned.
- We do not use your data to train AI models.
- AI outputs are delivered directly to your device and are not linked to your identity.
e) Subscription Information
We offer weekly, monthly, and quarterly premium subscriptions. All billing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
- We never collect or store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or any financial data.
- We only receive your subscription status (active, expired, cancelled) to unlock or restrict premium features.
f) Analytics & Diagnostics
We collect anonymous, non-identifiable data to improve app performance:
- Device type and operating system version
- App crash logs and error reports
- General usage patterns (e.g., feature usage frequency)
This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the App's core water tracking features
- Authenticate and secure your account
- Manage your subscription access
- Generate personalized AI hydration tips (premium only)
- Send hydration reminders (with your permission)
- Improve app stability and performance
- Respond to support inquiries
We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
4. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, cloud database (Firestore), crash reporting, analytics, remote config, cloud messaging
- Sign in with Apple: User authentication
- Sign in with Google: User authentication
- RevenueCat: Subscription management
- AI text processing for hydration coaching (premium only)
- Apple HealthKit: Health data sync (optional, user-initiated)
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Subscription billing
7. Account Deletion
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time.
How to request deletion:
- Use the "Delete Account" option in the App's Settings screen
- Or email us at workplace@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
We will process your request within 30 days.
Please note: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You must cancel your subscription separately through your device settings before requesting account deletion.
8. Children's Privacy
HydroSip is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that a child's data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Data portability — request a copy of your data

10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our third-party service providers operate. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
