Project Description
My project focuses on the study on the surface energy budget of a humid balsam fir boreal forest. Two flux towers using the eddy covariance method are monitoring fluxes since autumn 2015 over two forest stands of different maturity. The data collected is used to understand specific local scale phenomenon impacting the energy and water budget, such as evapotranspiration and snow sublimation. Time series are also used to validate and improve land-surface schemes and models. My research interests also include measurement of surface energy budget with new methods (e.g. scintillometry).
