We are a group of 11 students from a variety of geographical, cultural and educational backgrounds, all united around one goal :
To succeed in the HydroEurope project !
I'm currently in my final year (fifth) at Polytech Nice in France, where I'm specializing in water engineering. Drinking water supply is a field I'd like to work in.
I did a BTS in water management for two years before joining Polytech.
I spent an ERAMUS semester abroad in Rome, ITALY. This experience enabled me to gain valuable knowledge of water management practices.
I really enjoy meeting and working with new people. For me, Hydroeurope represents an excellent opportunity to work with people from different cultures, all united by a common passion: hydraulics.
For me, the water business is a business of the future.
Greetings to everyone, I am Nicolas from Nice, in the southeastern part of France. I’m studying engineering here with the water option.
The choice of the Water Genie seemed obvious to me. It’s an exciting field, with meaningful jobs that are in line with my values. This is why I decided to study in Nice to follow the Water Engineering cycle at Polytech Nice Sophia. With a solid base of knowledge in hydrology and hydraulics, sensitivity to water management problems and qualified in project management, I wish to put my skills into practice during this new experience.
I am pleased to join the Hydroeurope group and am eager to participate in the exchange of knowledge and experiences with the members.
Hello everyone, I'm Laetitia BONNET, a French student enrolled in the EUROAQUAE master's program. I was born in 2001 near Paris, and I grew up in the southeastern part of France, not too far from Nice. After high school, I pursued a bachelor's degree in Geography and Land Use Management in Lyon, where I got the opportunity to embark on an Erasmus exchange in Norway. This experience fueled my desire to continue living and studying abroad, leading me to dive into this master's program. Right now, I'm drowning in my computer working on Hec Ras, Hec Hms and R. The chill moments are made to travel and visit around, run, read and sleep.
My professional interests revolve around expanding my knowledge and skills in hydraulics and hydrology. I aim to apply these competencies across various water-related domains, particularly in flood risk management and water quality treatment.
In this year of Hydro-Europe, I am happy to work on the Spanish catchment, La Tordera, among the Team 4 participants.
I'm Valentin Canal, a water engineering student at Polytech Nice Sophia, currently working as a Project Manager and Urban Hydraulic Engineer in an inter-municipal community through a work-study program. My academic and professional journey has consistently steered me towards my passion for the environment, particularly focusing on water-related aspects.
As a water engineering professional, my role within the inter-municipal community involves managing and designing projects related to urban hydraulics, contributing to shaping a sustainable and resilient urban environment. My motivation stems from a deep belief in the essential preservation of water for the well-being of our planet.
Outside of my professional life, I'm an avid sports enthusiast, actively involved in the local badminton club and a member of the regional team. This sporting facet of my personality reinforces my commitment to maintaining a healthy balance between work and leisure.
I'm thrilled to be part of this working group, and I hope our collaboration will be fruitful. Thank you for the opportunity to share my journey and passions with all of you.
I’m Lucie DA SILVA from Nice university. I was born in 2000 in a small city located just next to Switzerland.
After the high school diploma, I did an advanced technician diploma in urban water management for 2 years and then, a scientist bachelor in hydrogeology in Avignon. I decided to continue my studies in Polytech Nice University to become an engineer by apprenticeship because I wanted to gain more skills in urban water and take more responsibilities. I work for the SUEZ company alongside my studies in Polytech.
Now, I’m more interested in business management so I will continue next year with a master’s degree specializing in profit center management.
