HydraKit is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy outlines how we handle information within the app, including details on third-party services used in the app.

Data Collection and Usage

HydraKit does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app — your hydration records, reminders, and settings are stored on your device. We do use third-party services (described below) that collect limited usage and diagnostic data to help us understand how the app performs and fix problems; none of this is used to personally identify you.

Third-Party Services

Google AdMob: HydraKit displays advertisements through Google AdMob, which may collect data to show personalized ads. AdMob may use information like your device's advertising identifier and information about your app usage to serve relevant ads. For details on what data AdMob collects and how it is used, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads by adjusting the settings on your device: go to your device settings and select Privacy > Advertising > Limit Ad Tracking (or the equivalent setting for your device).

Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate — for example, how often features like water logging are used, and whether purchases complete successfully. This includes device and usage information but does not include your name, email, or other information that directly identifies you.

Firebase Crashlytics: We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash and error reports so we can fix bugs. These reports may include device information, app version, and technical details about what the app was doing at the time of the crash.

Firebase Cloud Messaging: The app registers with Firebase Cloud Messaging to support push notifications. Your daily hydration reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device and never pass through our servers; the messaging registration exists to support notification delivery infrastructure.

In-App Purchases

HydraKit offers in-app purchases for premium features. These transactions are processed by the App Store, and we do not have access to your payment card or billing details. We do log that a purchase occurred — the product purchased, its price, and currency — through Firebase Analytics, to understand which plans are popular; this does not include any of your payment information. Please review Apple's privacy policy for more details.

Notifications

HydraKit may request permission to send you notifications. Your hydration reminders are scheduled and stored locally on your device using iOS's notification system — they are not sent from or processed by our servers.

Children's Privacy

HydraKit is rated for users aged 9 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information — such as your name, email address, or exact location — from anyone, including children. The usage and diagnostic data described above (through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) is not used to identify individual children, but it is generic device- and app-usage data rather than being fully absent, so parents and guardians should be aware of this when supervising a child's use of the app. We comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information through the app, or if you would like data associated with your child's device deleted, please contact us. We will take the necessary steps to promptly investigate and address your request.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app, and the "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent modifications.
