The first stage of the process started on paper. We had workshopped the layout of the map and finalized the size, folding, and components of the map (a 3-day itinerary structure).

After brainstorming the layout and content of the map, we proceeded to formalize it digitally. We started by producing a simplified version of the map, extracting the main roads and geographical components of the city. Then we designed illustrations of some main historical places in the city. Everything is hand-drawn at first and edited further in software.
