1850 The first Hyde Park Station is built

1861-02-15 President Elect, Abraham Lincoln's inauguration train passes the Station

1865-04-26 Lincoln's funeral train passes the Station

1869 The New York Central & Hudson River Railroad is formed

1878 Trade Dollars are no longer accepted at the Staton

1880-The second station replaces the first

1901-07-22 The Big Storm

1912-03-14 Wreck of the 20th Century Limited

1913-12-13 The water refill pans are removed

1914 The current Station replaces the second

1939-06-12 Station Agent, John Moate speaks during a shortwave broadcast to England

1939-06-12 King George VI and the Queen visit the Station

1945-04-15 Dignitaries arrive at the Station to attend the FDR burial

1945-05-16 The 240th MP Battalion, under the command of the Secret Service, departs on a special train

1953 Regular Train service to the Station is suspended

1958 The New York Central no longer lists the Station

1958 A scene for the movie North By Northwest is filmed at the Station

1968 The Town of Hyde Park acquires the Stations and property

1970-04-06 Agreement reached with Community Action for Teens to occupy the Station

1970-15-18 New septic tank installed by the CAT

1971-01-22 Electrical wiring completed and water line connected by the CAT

1973-10-06 The Lions Club converts the Freight Station to a pavilion

1974-09 The Town of Hyde Park delays demolition of the Station

1975-06-01 The lease from the Town of Hyde Park to the Hudson Valley Railroad Society takes effect

1976-12-09 The "Eleanor and Franklin" premier

1981-09-11 The Station is registered as a National Historic Place

2025 The Baggage Cart is restored
