If you want a dedicated, high-speed charging solution for your JBL portable speakers and earbuds during long work sessions or outdoor meetings, choose Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging; if you need a versatile 2-in-1 adapter that lets you listen to music through wired headphones while simultaneously fast-charging a modern smartphone in a meeting room, choose AVMAX USB C.
• Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: Its biggest strength is its specialized, rapid power delivery up to 20W specifically engineered for the vast ecosystem of JBL speakers and earbuds, but it lacks any audio functionality or headphone jack support.
• AVMAX USB C: It offers unique dual utility by combining a 3.5mm audio output with a 60W Power Delivery port for simultaneous listening and charging, though it cannot charge speakers directly and relies on specific DAC chips for audio quality.
• Who should buy Hyacinyh: Audio professionals and enthusiasts who rely heavily on JBL Gear for open ear headphones for meetings and need their speakers fully powered without interruption.
• Who should buy AVMAX: Users of recent smartphones who require best bluetooth headphones for meetings via a wired connection while ensuring their device battery never drops below critical levels.
This product is built with a singular, focused purpose in mind: keeping your JBL audio gear running. If your daily workflow involves presenting to clients, hosting team calls, or managing remote conferences using a portable speaker, this charger is designed to be your reliable companion. It also extends compatibility to other JRPOP speakers and specific JBL Tune and Live series earphones.
The core advantage here is the speed and safety profile tailored for these specific devices. With a capability to deliver up to 20W of power, it significantly cuts down the time required to get your equipment back to full capacity. This matters immensely when you are in the middle of a marathon meeting session and need your speaker ready for the next call immediately. The charger features advanced fast-charging technology that intelligently manages power flow, which includes protection against over-current, over-voltage, short circuits, and overheating. It has been tested to comply with UL 62368-1 Safety Standard, giving you peace of mind that your expensive audio equipment is protected from electrical surges.
Its physical design is equally practical for the mobile professional. Weighing only 0.05 kg, the unit is incredibly lightweight and compact. The cable itself is 3.9 feet long, offering enough reach to plug into a wall outlet or power bank without straining the connection point on your speaker. The flat, flexible construction made from Polyvinyl Chloride ensures it won't tangle easily in your bag, making it ideal for travel or tossing into a briefcase. However, if you do not own a JBL device or need to charge other brands' speakers, or if you are looking for an all-in-one hub that handles audio playback as well, this single-purpose tool will feel too limited for your needs.

In contrast, the AVMAX USB C adapter targets a different set of pain points entirely. It is designed for users who have moved to phones with no headphone jacks and still prefer the reliability of wired audio for critical communication. The defining feature here is the 2-in-1 architecture: it provides a standard 3.5mm auxiliary jack for connecting headphones while simultaneously offering a USB-C female port for charging. This allows you to keep your phone plugged in and powered up while you wear your preferred sleep headphones for meetings or use wired earbuds for crystal-clear audio transmission.
The audio performance is driven by a high-performance DAC chip capable of supporting 32-bit/384kHz high-resolution audio. This specification suggests a focus on fidelity, aiming to deliver clear, gentle sound with effective noise reduction. For someone conducting sensitive business calls or listening to detailed conference recordings, the ability to avoid digital-to-analog conversion issues found in lower-quality adapters is a significant benefit. The adapter claims to eliminate current noise and distortion, ensuring that what you hear is clean and faithful to the source.
Charging capabilities are where this adapter truly shines in terms of raw power. It supports PD 3.0 fast charging with a maximum output of 60W. This is a substantial amount of power, far exceeding the typical needs of most smartphones, ensuring that even if you are using your device heavily during a meeting—running video, taking notes, and streaming audio—it will maintain its battery level efficiently. It works with a wide array of devices, including the latest iPhone models (up to the 17 series listed), Samsung Galaxy S-series, Google Pixels, and various tablets and laptops. While it does not support data transfer, its primary role is to bridge the gap between modern USB-C ports and legacy 3.5mm audio, making it essential for anyone who refuses to compromise on audio quality while needing to stay connected to power.
• Best for JBL Speaker Owners → Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: If your primary device is a JBL speaker or compatible earbud, this is the only logical choice as it is specifically calibrated for those connectors and protocols.
• Best for Wired Audio + Charging → AVMAX USB C: Only this adapter allows you to use 3.5mm headphones while the device charges, a feature the Hyacinyh cable simply does not offer.
• Highest Power Output → AVMAX USB C: With support for 60W PD charging, it can handle larger devices like laptops and iPads much faster than the 20W limit of the Hyacinyh charger.
• Safest for Portable Speakers → Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: The UL 62368-1 certification and specific safety protections make it the superior option for protecting delicate speaker batteries from voltage spikes.
• Best for High-Res Audio Fidelity → AVMAX USB C: The inclusion of a 32-bit/384kHz DAC chip positions this as the better choice for audiophiles who need lossless audio transmission through wired connections.
• Most Compact Travel Solution → Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: At just 0.05 kg with a simple flat cable design, it takes up less space in a pocket compared to the bulkier adapter dongle.
• Best for Modern Smartphones → AVMAX USB C: If your workflow revolves around a new iPhone or Android flagship without a headphone jack, this is the necessary accessory to regain analog audio options.
• Best Value for Multi-Device Homes → Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: If you have multiple JBL devices (speakers, buds, clips), one cable serves all of them, whereas the AVMAX is strictly a phone/tablet/laptop peripheral.
For my own setup, especially when I am preparing for long meetings where I need to ensure my portable speaker never runs out of juice, I would choose the Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging. The ability to trust that my JBL speaker is getting exactly the right amount of power, backed by specific safety certifications, gives me confidence that my presentation gear will perform flawlessly. The specialized nature of this cable means it doesn't try to be everything to everyone; it focuses on being the perfect charger for the devices I actually use every day. While the AVMAX adapter is a clever piece of engineering for phone users, I rarely find myself needing to listen through a 3.5mm jack while charging a phone during a meeting, so the Hyacinyh's direct approach to powering my audio hardware is the more practical investment for my specific needs.
While the Hyacinyh charger uses a USB-C connector and supports up to 20W, it is primarily marketed and optimized for JBL speakers and earbuds. It may work with some USB-C phones, but it lacks the broad protocol support found in general phone chargers.
