Whenever a nokia Symbian S40 series phone clicks a picture, it is initially store in an nrw file (which is like a RAW image format for these phones). Ideally, the phone's image converter runs in the background to convert these images to JPG. Your best bet would be to turn your phone off and on, so that it gets converted the next time you switch it on.

To prevent corrupting open files in the file system, you should only remove a compact flash that is administratively shutdown. The SR OS gracefully closes any open files on the device, so it can be safely removed.

Use the delete and rd commands to delete files and remove directories. Directories can be removed even if they contain files and/or subdirectories. To remove a directory that contains files and/or subdirectories, use the rd rf command. When files or directories are deleted, they cannot be recovered.

Use the dir command to display a list of files on a file system. The type command displays the contents of a file. The version command displays the version of a *.tim or iom.tim file. (iom.tim file is used for the XCM on the 7950 XRS).

I've never heard of .ib files before, and I was hoping someone here knew what they are. A quick look suggests IB File Extension - Open .IB File (InterBase Database), however I tried using these .ib files with "Tool for exporting and importing data with Firebird and InterBase databases", and I get:

I was about to make the opposite script than Yossi's to convert .vcf files back into the .is format when I found a workaround to backup and restore all contacts to and from the vcf file format with the Nokia 3310 3G :

I tried a fresh Ubuntu install and without installing any gtmp, mtp, libmtp tools, I was able to access storage and browse pictures. But not anything else. In a Lumia 610 either work with Skydrive or try using bluetooth transfer application for mp3, mp4 files. There is no other way, unless we get a Zune software for Ubuntu.

Hi, Only me again, just wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to use Recuva to retreive deleted files from a storage device like a mobile phone, which has a Symbian OS. Since I cannot select the drive, I guess not. Strange thing is I can see the drive through Recuva, just cannot select it. Can anyone shed any more light on this.

If the device doesn't have a drive letter in Windows then Recuva or any other recovery program won't work, however if the deleted files exist on a memory card then using an external USB card reader maybe your only option.

I'm able to connect my nokia 6300 to my PPC G5 via bluetooth. I see the usual window with the maps of nokia on my computer-monitor, but everytime I want to get a file from Nokia on my desktop ( by either dragging or transfering) suddenly a black curtain falls over my desktop and a message says I have to hold the powerbutton to restart my computer.

which allows you to select any .csv, .vcf file to directly import into your phone. Of course this would be too easy :) so neither the .csv nor the .vcf import worked using the files from Google Export.

After spending several hours going through myriads of forums with people asking for a solution I found this article written in 2009 that provides a solution to split this single .vcf file into multiple .vcf files, one for each contact. The tool mentioned in the article, which I also used is vCard Split by Philip Storry.

Awesome, we have all our contacts splitted in a single .vcf file per contact. Now the last thing to do is just select all these .vcf files, COPY them (CTRL + C) and then PASTE them (CTRL + V) into the PC suite contacts section, or simply use the File => Import wizard and select all the .vcf files from the opened window.

Great, the tool seems to be importing the files and finishes successfully. But, there is a catch :) It seems that Nokia only cares about english/latin characters and any Greek character is converted into a weird symbol which makes your contacts useless.

Nokia bundles with the Nokia 301 an application named Tansfer which you can also manually install on your own by downloading the .jar/.jad setup files and using PC suite to install them on the device. I manually installed the latest version Transfer 1.0.11.

I have to transfer 50 contacts from an old Nokia phone to a Motorola running Android 5.I managed to Export an nbf backup from the Nokia and Export all contacts vcf files from that nbf file. But now every time I try to import those vcf files from the default contacts App, Theres a notification "will import 1.vcf soon" and then "finished importing 1.vcf".But the imprted contacts wont show up in the App.Further more I can only import single contacts as when I select more than one it will say importing but never finishThank you for your help :)

Rename the files is not a good way beacuse it will be more issues then inside the file i think.

But if i rename the Adafruit_PCD8544.cpp to PCD8544.cpp and Adafruit_PCD8544.h to PCD8544.h and try to run the same code, i got this error message:

Better said than done, Recoverit for Mac (or Recoverit for Windows) is able to let you do a quick Nokia data recovery of your lost files. This software uses the latest powerful scanning algorithm to keenly find your data, lets you preview them before allowing you to recover.

It supports over 550 data types and can recover photos, documents, music, videos, archive files, and email messages. The software is easy to use and will ensure that you attain all your data in a few seconds. You may also opt to backup your recovered data on your computer or any other device or restore them back to your Nokia phone.

In-Depth Scanning

It allows you to do an in-depth scanning in two ways. Use the "Quick Scan" way to carry out your Nokia data recovery pretty fast. It is able to find images, emails, and text files with original file structures. "Deep scan" enables you to increase the success rate of lost data recovery and is recommended in case the quick scan does not produce all the data you needed.

Run Recoverit on your computer in order to start the recovery process. It will populate a list of file types for you to choose from. Pick on the file types that correspond to the data that you need to recover. Put a checkmark on photo, video, and document files. Once you select all which is needed, click on "Next".

In the event that you signed up for an iCloud or iTunes account, it makes it possible for you to recover deleted files from your Nokia phone. This is because you can use these accounts to search for your lost data and restore them back to your phone. Simply connect your Nokia phone to the computer, sign in to your iCloud account using your Apple ID and then get access to your phone data. You can as well do the same from your iTunes account and click on "Restore" to get back all the needed data, then transfer all the iCloud and iTunes data to Nikia with some phone transfer tools like MobileTrans.

Tried hooking up your new phone to your computer, opening a file manager and dragging/dropping files to appropriate folders etc? Use the import functions of your email reader and web browser to transfer bookmarks and addresses. Just a thought......

However, it doesn't mean that they're gone forever. In other words, only the place that they occupied has been marked as blank and available for new files. You still have a good chance to recover deleted photos and videos from Nokia Lumia phone before they've been overwritten by new files.

I am trying to write a code such that whatever I type in arduino IDE serial monitor is printed on nokia 5110 display

I think the code is right

but during compilation the error that pops up is that, "invalid conversion from 'int' to 'char*' [-fpermissive]"

Android OTA packages now come with a Payload.bin file that contains the individual image files of different firmware partitions. In this tutorial, we will show you how to extract the Android OTA Payload.bin file to get the individual device partition/firmware images. This could be done using the Payload Dumper Tool, either on a PC or on an Android device.

Out of the three types of extraction, logical is seen as the quickest, least intrusive, but most limited. It creates a copy of the user accessible files such as phonebook, calls, messages, some app data and other data you might expect from an iTunes or Android backup. i.e. what you can see if you manually examine each screen on the device.

Logical extraction may exclude data from certain apps if those apps do not backup into the files which form part of the extraction e.g. the default folder. To access these apps you would need access to the file system.

File system extraction is often technically seen as a type of logical extraction. As with all forms of extraction, the capabilities of a file system extraction will be device-specific. File System Extraction is slightly more data rich than a logical extraction, in file system extraction the entire filesystem is taken off of the phone.

A developer from the XDA forums has developed a program called NB0 Tools FIH Mobile to extract the contents of the nb0 file. It can read and unpack the contents of the .nb0 file, giving you access to individual files (such as system, boot, modem, etc).

Wireshark provides a variety of options for exporting packet data. This section describes general ways to export data from the main Wireshark application. There are many other ways to export or extract data from capture files, including processing tshark output and customizing Wireshark and TShark using Lua scripts.

Dear all,

I have performed logging with Xiaomi Mi11 phone (qualcomm X60). The behaviour is different from previous Xiaomi mobile phones.

Instead of obtaining several qmdl files, I obtain 1 qmdl2 file and many bin files. (about 4 bin files per minute). Information seems to be in the long bin files, however these files cannot be open with qcat tool.

Anybody knows how to extract information from these files? 0852c4b9a8
