Speech & Language

Welcome to the Hazelwood Elementary

Speech & Language Virtual Speech Room!

Schools may be closed, but communication never stops! There are lots of fun and creative ways to work on speech and langauge skills while learning from a distance. This "virtual speech room" is meant to provide general resources for you to help maintain your child's communication skills at home. Please keep in mind that our intention is that you have fun working with your child, and not to add additional stress or pressure to complete the activities.

We recognize that every child has individual needs, differences, and goals. Please reach out to your SLP if you have questions or need help modifying or implementing any activity with your child.

Your HWE Speech-Langauge Pathologists,

Alysia Blanding & Elizabeth Pilsner

You will find links to a variety of speech and language activities in the drop down menu above. Other pages will be periodically updated with additional ideas, activities, and resources. Please feel free to choose activities based on your child's needs and communication goals (e.g., articulation, language). If you are not sure what your child's goals are or what your child is working on in speech therapy, please reach out. We are here to help!

June 19th, 2020 is the last day of the school year and teachers, therapists, and other staff will on summer break. The resources on this site will be available throughout the summer for you and your family to practice until school starts again this Fall. New resources will not be uploaded during the Summer Break.
