What is HWAMT?

HWAMT (Heck, Where Are My Tabs?) is a browser extension that helps you save, organize, and sync your browser tabs into collections.

What data does HWAMT collect?

HWAMT collects and stores the following data:

  - Tab URLs: The web addresses of tabs you save to collections

  - Tab Titles: The titles of tabs you save to collections

  - Collection Names: Names you give to your collections

  - Settings: Your extension preferences

This data is considered "Web History" under Chrome Web Store guidelines.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in two places:

  1. Locally: On your device using Chrome's local storage

  2. Chrome Sync (optional): If you enable sync, your collections are stored in your Google account via Chrome's built-in sync feature

HWAMT does not have its own servers. We do not store your data on any external servers.

Do you share my data with third parties?

No. We do not sell, transfer, or share your data with any third parties. Your data stays on your device and optionally in your Chrome sync account.

Do you use analytics or tracking?

No. HWAMT does not include any analytics, tracking, or telemetry. We do not know who uses the extension or how they use it.

Do you use remote code?

No. All code runs locally within the extension. We do not load or execute any remote code.

How can I delete my data?

You can delete your data at any time by:

  - Removing individual collections within the extension

  - Clearing all data in the extension settings

  - Uninstalling the extension (removes all local data)

  - Disabling Chrome Sync for the extension

Your rights

You have full control over your data. Since all data is stored locally or in your own Chrome account, you can access, export, or delete it at any time through the extension.

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
