Park at the end of Stratton Street - Coming from Wellington on SH2 turn left at the second set of lights (the Maungaraki turnoff) stay on the main road which is Dowse Drive until about 500m past the top of the hill, then turn left into Stratton Street at the Church. Follow Stratton Street down hill to your left - we meet at the carpark right at the end which is about 3 km away.
The plan is to hit Belmont (perhaps the Dress Circle) & Horokiwi...

Meet on Ashton Fitchett Drive near the intersection of Hawkins Hill Rd.
We'll head up the tracks to the Wind Turbine, then probably include Barking Emu and Car Parts before descending back to Aro Valley.

Travelling North from Wellington turn left over Totara park bridge. Meet at Tulsa Park at the end of Totara Park Rd, straight through the first roundabout.
The ride climbs to the trig through either gentle 4WD tracks or steeper single track. From there is up to the ride leader to select a choice. There are some tracks around the summit that have been built in the seedlings by Hutt riders and there are other options to head over towards the Karapoti gorge and the tracks beyond. It's been a while since we were last out here, so who knows what we'll find...

Meet at the car park at the end of Happy Valley Rd in Owhiro Bay.
The plan is to enjoy the delights of Red Rocks, but going via Aro Valley first.

Grade/Time: Grade 3+. About 1.5hrs-2hrs
Meet: at the parking area to the north of KFC, Hagley St in central Porirua.
We might make our way over to Colonial Knob, then depending on the weather aim for climbing Utawai and possibly attack the Elsdon tracks, or checkout the latest Colonial Knob trail pixie's work, or even go East... (but will likely decide on the night)

Park near the Wellington Harrier Athletic Club on Alexandra Road, Newton.
A chance to get lost amidst the Mt Vic trails.

Meet at the Porirua Mobil on Kenepuru Rd, Porirua.
The plan is to ride up to Belmont Trig.

Meet at the carpark next to the roundabout at the entrance to Stokes Valley.
The plan is to do Bruce's track.

Meet at the car park at the end of Happy Valley Rd in Owhiro Bay.
From here we'll either ride up and over in Houghton Valley/Tawawawa Reserve, or if we're feeling particularly sadistic perhaps do the tip track & down into Red Rocks...

Did you read that? We start on *SATURDAY* at 12pm (ride starts at 1pm), with (maybe) another ride Sunday morning
Ride type: HVMBC Members' Christmas Special
Time/Grade: Usually a mixture, probably tough, plus an overnight camp
Staying at: Paekakariki Holiday Park
Exact ride details to be confirmed (i.e. made up on the day), but will be epic and will include Whareroa Farm (including Capt. SMeeres track) and beyond.
__NOTE__!! For those wishing a cabin for the Saturday night, you *MUST* pre-book your accommodation at:

(or call them). They have a minimum number of cabins available, plus some tent sites.
We won't be making any bookings, and the place books up quickly, so if you want to stay Saturday night then make sure you log-in or call them and book ASAP.
Bring a change of clothes and something to sleep in if you plan to stay over.
