About

We are the Hudson Valley Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society, or HVCNARGS for short. We are dedicated to helping our members learn about and successfully grow alpine rock garden plants. This is done through informative semi-monthly meetings, field trips to various gardens, and our annual chapter events and activities. Our partnership with Lyndhurst Mansion provides for opportunities for members to "get their hands dirty" planning and maintaining the several rock gardens on the mansion grounds that we maintain. We pride ourselves on the sense of camaraderie that we provide for our members in the time we spend together learning and sharing in these interesting plants!

Membership in HVCNARGS is $10 per year and provides for our meetings, events, and various activities. It also includes a Lyndhurst Mansion membership which allows for free year round access to the Lyndhurst grounds and well as other member benefits.
