Hopewell Valley Central High School Class of 2026

Dear Parents, Family and Friends of the Class of 2026,

We hope your student had a great first year at Hopewell Valley Central High School! We are the parent representatives for the Class of 2026. Our mission is to build community among the parents, students and faculty while simultaneously fundraising for the Class of 2026 special events.

We are writing to let you know about the long-range planning of special events in junior and senior year (such as Junior Prom, Senior Events and Post Prom) and how you can assist in the fundraising effort to support these events.

Junior Prom is supported by parent funds and parent volunteers. Parent funds offset expenses for prom decor, food and beverages, and parent volunteers help with the event decorating, set up and clean up.

Senior Events are supported by parent funds and volunteers. There is no cost to attend any Senior Events run by parents. Each class puts their own signature on senior events but in the past, these have included events such as: Post Prom, Senior Sunrise, Senior Sunset/Movie Night, Senior Lunch and Senior Breakfast the morning of graduation.

Post Prom is held at CHS following the Senior Prom. For over 30 years, senior class parent volunteers, in coordination with HVCHS PTO, school administration and Hopewell Valley Municipal Alliance, have organized this activity-filled event to provide an alcohol and drug free alternative for students following prom. It is a memorable night, well attended by students and their guests, whether they attend prom or not. This event was developed with student safety in mind and the students enjoy having time with friends before they graduate from HVCHS.

Traditionally, each class asks families who are able to contribute a one time donation to support the cost of these class specific events. Payment can be made using this link:

https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=MZHNGXYMCKX7W

Suggested donation of $100, but any amount is appreciated. Donations may also be paid by check to HVCHS PTO (Class of 2026 in memo).* The HVCHS PTO is a non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible and matching employer donations are welcomed. Please know donations are not mandatory to attend events and names of families who donate are kept anonymous.

If you are interested in helping to plan and/or execute events, please let us know by filling out this Class of 2026 Volunteer Interest Form. Thank you for your support in making our childrens’ four years at CHS memorable!

Kind regards,

Jayna Brown, Lois Johann and Nancy King
