  1. Introduction

  Huza Ride ("we", "us", "our") operates the Huza Ride mobile application. This page informs you of our

  policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our service. By using

  Huza Ride, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

  2. Who We Are

  Huza Ride is a designated driver on demand platform operating in Rwanda, connecting clients who need a safe

  driver with verified drivers and Uber partners across all districts of Rwanda. We are built and operated by

  RUNI Rw, based in Kigali, Rwanda.

  3. Information We Collect

  We collect the following information depending on your role:

  All Users (Clients, Drivers, Uber):

  - Full name

  - Email address

  - Phone number

  - Profile photo

  - District of operation or service area

  - Device push notification token (FCM token)

  - Last online timestamp

  - Account role (Client, Driver, or Uber)

  Drivers and Uber Partners (additional):

  - National ID photo (front and back) — for identity verification

  - Driving license photo (front and back) — for professional verification

  - Driver rating and review count

  Uber Partners (additional):

  - Vehicle insurance certificate

  - Yellow card (vehicle registration)

  - Car plate number

  Trip Data (all users):

  - Trip ID, client name, driver name

  - Trip destination

  - Trip status (requested, accepted, completed, cancelled)

  - Trip timestamp

  - Agreed or negotiated price

  4. How We Use Your Information

  We use your information to:

  - Create and manage your account

  - Match clients with available drivers in their district

  - Process and track trip requests in real time

  - Verify the identity and documents of drivers and Uber partners before they go live

  - Send push notifications about new trip requests, ride status updates, and service alerts

  - Display your rating and review count to clients

  - Allow clients to follow and find preferred drivers

  - Enable admin review and verification of driver accounts

  5. Document Verification

  For Driver and Uber accounts, we collect photos of your National ID, driving license, insurance certificate,

  and yellow card. These documents are uploaded securely to Cloudinary and the URLs are stored in Firebase

  Firestore. They are only accessible to our admin team for the purpose of verifying your account. We do not

  share these documents with any third party.

  6. Location and District Data

  We collect your selected service district when you are active as a driver or Uber. This is used to match you

  with clients in your area. We do not track your real-time GPS location. District selection is done manually

  by the driver and is only visible to clients searching for drivers in that district.

  7. Push Notifications

  We collect your device notification token (FCM token) to send you real-time alerts such as new trip requests

  and ride status updates. You can disable notifications at any time from your phone's settings.

  8. Camera and Gallery

  The app requests access to your camera or photo gallery to allow you to upload your profile photo and

  verification documents (NID, license, insurance, yellow card). We do not access your camera or gallery

  without your explicit action.

  9. Third-Party Services

  Our app uses the following third-party services that may collect data under their own privacy policies:

  10. Data Sharing

  We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

  - Service providers listed in Section 9 that are necessary to operate the app

  - Law enforcement or legal authorities if required by Rwandan law

  Trip data is only visible to the client and driver involved in that trip, and to the admin for support

  purposes.

  11. Data Security

  All user data is stored in Firebase Firestore with security rules that restrict access by user role.

  Documents and images are stored securely on Cloudinary with private upload presets. We take reasonable

  technical measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

  12. Data Retention

  We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will

  remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days. Trip history may be retained for a reasonable

  period for dispute resolution purposes.

  13. Children's Privacy

  Huza Ride is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information

  from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will delete their

  information promptly.

  14. Your Rights

  You have the right to:

  - Access the personal data we hold about you

  - Request correction of inaccurate data

  - Request deletion of your account and personal data

  - Withdraw consent for notifications at any time via your phone settings

  15. Changes to This Policy

  We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by

  updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes

  your acceptance of the updated policy.
