I received B.Sc.(2009) and M.Sc.(2011) in Electrical Engineering from
Tehran Polytechnic, with focus on Low-earth-orbit satellite antenna design. Then, I moved to industry and worked as an engineer on Geostationary satellite antenna design between 2011 and 2012. I joined the
Laboratory of Electromagnetics and Acoustics at
Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in 2013 where obtained my Ph.D. in May 2017, with focus on acoustic metamaterials. I also spent 6 months in 2016 as a visiting researcher at the
University of Texas at Austin under Swiss National Science Foundation Doctoral.Mobility fellowship award. I was a postdoc fellow in
Microwave and Antenna Group at
EPFL until February 2018 working on industrial project for wearable antenna design and joined the
Advanced Science Research Center in New York City in April 2018 as a postdoc fellow where my research focused on Electromagnetic and Acoustic wave propagation in periodic structures. Since October 2019 I have joined
Kymeta corporation as senior antenna engineer, where I collaborate on designing new generations of electronically reconfigurable holographic flat panel antennas for ground, marine and space applications.
