Developed a Semantic Search system using Sentence Transformers and Elasticsearch to retrieve information from a dataset of 3.5 million companies efficiently. The data was cleaned and preprocessed with pandas. The embeddings were generated using an NVIDIA P100 GPU, which took around 8 hours for the whole dataset. Two embeddings were generated for company metadata and company descriptions. Later, we indexed both embeddings in Elasticsearch to find the cosine similarity based on search.
