HushGro ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is handled in HushGro.
1. Data Collection and Storage HushGro is an offline-first application. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on our servers. All data you enter into the app (including photos, journals, and settings) is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database.
2. Permissions The app requests the following permissions to function:
Camera: To take photos of your plants. Images are stored locally on your device.
Storage (Read/Write): To save and retrieve images and to create/restore local backups (CSV/Database).
Biometrics: To unlock the app if you enable App Lock. This authentication is handled entirely by the Android System; HushGro does not access or store your biometric data.
3. Third-Party Services Since the app operates offline, we do not use third-party analytics or tracking services (like Google Analytics or Firebase) that collect user behavior data.
4. Data Security Your data is protected by the security measures of your device. Additionally, HushGro offers an optional App Lock feature. Database backups created by the app are encrypted using AES encryption if you choose to password-protect them.
5. Image Privacy and Metadata (EXIF) When you share, export, or copy images directly from HushGro to other apps, our app automatically processes these images to strip away sensitive EXIF metadata (such as GPS location coordinates and device hardware information). This ensures that your shared photos remain completely private and untraceable.Â
