SolidWorks CAM
SolidWorks CAM was used to generate the G-codes for a Teflon membrane plate containing 150 holes. The toolpath was first created and simulated within SolidWorks CAM, after which the corresponding G-codes were produced. The machining was carried out on a Lagun 3-axis CNC milling machine equipped with a Siemens controller. After generating the program, necessary adjustments were made directly in the G-code text file. On the machine, essential parameters such as Work Zero, tool height, and tool compensation were set before execution.
FEA SolidWorks Simulation:
Used FEA model of SolidWorks simulation (Static study) to find the stresses in a model. Compared the simulation results with the theoretical calculations. Used mesh refinement to refine the mesh regions for accurate values of stresses.
PCB Design using KiCAD 7
Designed and implemented a joystick-controlled system to drive two DC motors for a wheelchair, incorporating two selectable speeds for forward, reverse, left, and right motions. Utilized an ATmega328 microcontroller as an insertion component on the PCB and integrated a motor H-Bridge driver directly onto the board. Completed the full PCB workflow using KiCAD 7 PCB design software, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and generation of deliverables such as Gerber files, drill file, component position file and bill of materials. The Gerber and drill files were uploaded to JLCPCB for fabrication, and the PCB was received within the required timeline.
