If you want a rugged, high-capacity solution to secure full-size rifles and shotguns in the back of your vehicle without blocking passenger space, choose Hunthor Truck Gun Rack; if you need an instant, concealed hold for a flat-top pistol in a hybrid car or office with zero drilling required, choose GUNPJONE Magnet Gun Mount.
• Hunthor Truck Gun Rack: Its biggest strength is holding two long guns securely behind front seats using heavy-duty 900D Oxford fabric, while its trade-off is that it requires headrest straps and only works with firearms that fit the adjustable hook-and-loop system. This pick is for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts who transport rifles or shotguns regularly.
• GUNPJONE Magnet Gun Mount: Its biggest strength is its incredibly fast, one-handed deployment for compatible pistols using powerful magnets and a scratch-resistant polymer coating, while its trade-off is strict compatibility limits that exclude rounded slides, Sigs, 1911s, and optics-mounted guns. This pick is for daily carry users needing immediate access to a sidearm in tight spaces like a hybrid cabin.
The Hunthor Truck Gun Rack is designed specifically for the practical demands of transporting long guns in active environments. If you spend your weekends hunting or navigating rough off-road terrain, this 2-pack organizer addresses the core problem of keeping your rifle or shotgun from bouncing around the cargo area or taking up valuable room where passengers sit. The construction relies on lightweight yet durable 900D Oxford fabric, a material choice that signals intent for resistance against scratches and everyday wear typical of hauling gear on dusty trails. You are not looking at a flimsy plastic clip here; this is built to survive the rigors of a pickup truck, Jeep, or SUV interior.
What makes this rack stand out is the dual-pocket design combined with the open seat-back structure. The two large storage pockets allow you to keep pistols, magazines, or small hunting accessories within arm's reach, effectively consolidating your gear into one unit. Meanwhile, the adjustable nylon straps utilize a hook-and-loop mechanism to secure the firearm firmly in place. This reduces sliding and contact between the gun and the vehicle interior, which protects both your equipment and your upholstery. It accommodates different sizes of rifles and shotguns, making it versatile enough for various calibers and barrel lengths as long as they fit the strap configuration.
However, this product is not for everyone. It is strictly a vehicle accessory intended for the rear of the front seats. If you drive a sedan with limited legroom or a vehicle where the headrests cannot accommodate the strap width, this solution will not work. Furthermore, because it relies on fabric and straps rather than rigid mounting points, it is best suited for stationary transport rather than rapid deployment. You should skip this option if you are primarily looking for a way to store a handgun inside a glove box or under a desk. It is a dedicated tool for the hunter who needs to move two long guns safely and efficiently from home to the field.

The GUNPJONE Magnet Gun Mount serves a completely different purpose, focusing on speed, concealment, and accessibility for handguns. This device utilizes a unique design centered around an exceptionally strong magnet, ensuring that once a compatible firearm is placed, it locks and loads safely. The primary appeal here is the revolutionary innovation of a high-traction mount that allows for rapid one-handed mounting and release. In a scenario where you might be driving a hybrid car with limited storage compartments, having a weapon instantly accessible without fumbling with latches or keys is a significant advantage. The soft polymer coating cushions the firearm against abrasion, preventing surface damage to your pistol while allowing for quick movement.
Installation flexibility is another major draw for this specific mount. It comes equipped with double-sided adhesive tape for a non-invasive setup, but also includes screws for a more permanent alternative. This means you can secure it in seconds without needing any tools or drilling holes into your vehicle's interior. Whether you want to hide it under a dashboard, on the center console, or even in a home office, the magnetic force holds firm. The black color helps it blend into most interiors, maintaining a low profile. This is ideal for those who prioritize a "ready when I need it" philosophy for self-defense situations.
That said, the compatibility requirements are very specific and act as a hard filter for potential buyers. The product explicitly notes that it will not fit top-rounded slide pistols, mounted optics, Sig Sauer models, or 1911s. It is engineered specifically for flat-top pistols like the Glock series, Springfield XD series, Smith & Wesson M&P Shield, Ruger EC9s, and HK VP9. If your carry gun has a rounded slide or an optic rail, this mount simply will not hold it. You must verify your specific make and model before purchasing. It is a perfect fit for owners of popular striker-fired platforms but offers no utility for those with older designs or specialized tactical setups.
• Best for Long Guns → Hunthor Truck Gun Rack (Designed exclusively for rifles and shotguns).
• Best for Handguns → GUNPJONE Magnet Gun Mount (Optimized for flat-top pistols).
• Fastest Deployment → GUNPJONE Magnet Gun Mount (One-handed magnetic snap vs. strap adjustments).
• Most Durable Material → Hunthor Truck Gun Rack (900D Oxford fabric resists rough road wear better than polymer mounts).
• Best for Hybrid Cars → GUNPJONE Magnet Gun Mount (Compact size fits tight dash/console spaces better than bulky racks).
• No Tools Required → Both products (Hunthor uses straps; GUNPJONE uses adhesive or simple screw mounting).
• Storage Capacity → Hunthor Truck Gun Rack (Includes two deep pockets for extra gear).
• Concealment Factor → GUNPJONE Magnet Gun Mount (Low-profile design hides easily compared to visible seat-back straps).
In my opinion, the decision comes down entirely to what type of firearm you are carrying and where you are carrying it. If your goal is to haul hunting gear through muddy fields and rough roads, the Hunthor Truck Gun Rack is the superior choice because of its robust 900D fabric construction and ability to hold two long guns securely without eating up passenger space. However, for the specific use case of driving a hybrid car where space is premium and access time matters, I would buy the GUNPJONE Magnet Gun Mount. Its magnetic retention and compact footprint make it the only logical choice for securing a flat-top pistol in a modern, tight vehicle cabin without compromising comfort or requiring complex installation.
It is designed to fit most pickup trucks, Jeeps, SUVs, and off-road vehicles with compatible front seats that have headrests. It may not fit vehicles with unusual seat geometries or limited headrest clearance.
Yes, the GUNPJONE mount is compatible with the Glock series, provided the pistol has a flat-top slide and does not have mounted optics or other attachments that interfere with the magnetic surface.
Absolutely. The mount includes double-sided adhesive tape that allows for a secure hold without any drilling or tools, though screws are included if you prefer a more permanent bond.
The 900D Oxford fabric is built to resist scratches and wear, and the design allows for easy removal and cleaning, making it suitable for repeated use in dirty environments.
