About Me

I’m Hunter DeLauder, a University of Florida journalism graduate and sports journalist with experience covering college and high school athletics across the Southeast.

My reporting experience includes The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where I have covered Georgia athletics and high school sports, with work appearing across the AJC, DawgNation and AJC Varsity. My coverage has ranged from breaking news and major college sporting events to enterprise reporting and features highlighting the athletes, coaches and communities that make sports compelling.

Before joining the AJC, I covered University of Florida athletics for Swamp247 and On3, with an emphasis on Florida baseball. During my time at UF, I also reported for ESPN Gainesville’s WRUF and The Independent Florida Alligator, gaining experience across digital, radio and print journalism.

My goal is to continue building a career as a full-time sports reporter covering college or high school athletics. I have a particular passion for college sports and hope to eventually become a dedicated college beat reporter.
