We’re so happy you’re here! Casa Doce is our special place in paradise, and we want you to relax, have fun and enjoy everything Tamarindo has to offer. A few simple guidelines will help us keep the home beautiful and comfortable for everyone. This is our 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with a 1 bedroom, 1 bath casita and an extra casita we use for storage. It's equipped with everything you need.

🏡 Please Treat Casa Doce Like Your Own Home

Enjoy it, settle in and make yourself comfortable! Please be mindful of furniture, décor, linens and household items. If something is accidentally broken or damaged, just let us know right away.

❄️ Air Conditioning

Costa Rica is HOT! Please keep doors and windows closed whenever the A/C is running and turn off bedroom A/C units when rooms aren't being used. This makes a huge difference in both energy use and keeping the house comfortable. Each unit runs independantly and cranking it down causes the unit to freeze and defeats the purpose of cooling off the home.

🏊‍♀️ Pool & Outdoor Areas

Enjoy the pool! Please remember:

• No glass in or around the pool—use the provided plastic drinkware.

• No diving or running around the pool.

• Children should always be supervised.

• Please bring pool towels back inside and don't use bath towels at the pool or beach.

• Please don't leave wet towels or swimsuits on indoor furniture.

🏖️ Beach Days

We LOVE Tamarindo's beaches! Please shake off as much sand as possible before coming inside and use the outdoor shower when needed.

Please keep house linens and bath towels at Casa Doce and use designated beach towels for your adventures.

👥 Guests

Only registered overnight guests should stay at Casa Doce. If you'd like to have additional friends or visitors over, please check with us first.

No parties or large gatherings.

🔐 Safety & Security

When leaving the house, please make sure doors and windows are locked, alarm set, valuables are secured and A/C units and unnecessary lights are turned off.

Costa Rica is wonderful, but just like anywhere you travel, don't leave phones, wallets, bags or other valuables visible or unattended.

🤫 Be a Good Neighbor

We have wonderful neighbors and want to keep them happy! Please be considerate with outdoor music and noise, particularly in the evening.

🚭 No Smoking

Casa Doce is a non-smoking home. Please do not smoke or vape inside the house.

🧹 Housekeeping

Housekeeping helps us keep Casa Doce beautiful. Please allow our scheduled housekeepers and landscapers access to the home during your stay when applicable.

They're there to make your vacation easier—thank you for treating them with kindness and respect.

🐒 A Little Costa Rica Reminder

We're in the tropics! You may encounter geckos, insects and other little Costa Rican visitors. Keeping doors closed and food properly stored helps keep the wildlife where it belongs—outside! 🌴

Please don't feed monkeys or other wildlife, no matter how cute they are.

🗑️ Trash & Food

Please don't leave food or trash sitting outside, as it attracts animals and insects. Follow the home's instructions for trash and recycling.

🚽 Plumbing

Costa Rican plumbing can be different from what you're used to. Please follow any posted bathroom instructions and do not flush wipes, feminine products or other items down the toilets.

💕 Before You Leave

We don't expect you to spend your vacation cleaning! We simply ask that you:

• Place used towels where instructed.

• Put trash in the designated area.

• Wash or load used dishes.

• Remove food you've purchased from the refrigerator.

• Turn off A/C units and lights.

• Close and lock windows and doors.

• Double-check for chargers, passports and personal belongings!
