Hidden in plain sight: Human Trafficking in Texas
Introduction
Human trafficking remains one of the most hidden crimes in the United States. Texas consistently reports some of the highest numbers of trafficking victims and cases in the nation, likely due to its large population, major transportation networks, and proximity to the U.S.-Mexico border. This project aims to use county-level state data to visualize trafficking patterns across Texas and examine how crime rates and other factors may relate to trafficking activity.
