Life today presents many difficulties and distractions for parents and children. More than thirty years ago Marian Wright Edelman, Founder of the Children Defense Fund of America, an active child advocacy group, said despairingly: “Our children are growing up today in an ethically polluted world where instant gratification without effort, instant solutions without sacrifice, getting rather than giving, bigotry rather than acceptance, corruption rather than integrity are the staples of our newspapers and TV screens.”
The key to a better world and better citizens has always been education. Therefore, the Human Value Program is developed by the founder Sri Sathya Sai Baba who is a leading educationalist, spiritual leader, former Chancellor of the Institute of Higher Sciences. The Philosophy of the program is based on EDUCARE.
While the goal of the program is the balanced and wholesome development of all aspects of student’s personality through the practice of time-honored and universal Human Values. The academic curriculum can be followed of any institution; the character education approach is holistic nurturing all aspects of human personality-physical, mental, emotional, social, moral and spiritual.
The focus of the Human Values Program is the transformation of society and the world community through the transformation of the individual.
The End of Education is Character.
