Huiqian (Louise) Song
She finds economic puzzles in books, on the road, and in everyday life. Then come theory, data, and far too much coffee and tea. Laws, property rights, and the institutions quietly running the show. Modern data, historical data—whatever cracks the case. Different topics, same puzzle: institutions emerge; incentives shift; behavior adapts; outcomes follow.
I am an Assistant Professor at Institute of Economic Research (KIER), Kyoto University. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Simon Fraser University.
