"The State Preschool Program, funded by the California Department of Education’s Child Development Division, is a preschool program for children between the ages of three (the child's birthday should be on or before Dec 2nd) and five years who are from low-income families. As a child-centered program, State Preschool adds to a joyful childhood and is filled with inviting developmental learning experiences. Our Mission Statement

Children learn to think by doing. What they know depends on their first-hand experiences. We provide an environment that invites them to observe, to be active, to make choices and to experiment. Through our creative environment that encourages PLAY we help the children build a strong foundation in the English language, enabling them to become successful students from school graduation and beyond. Realizing that as parents, you are the most important people in your child’s world and you are his/her first and primary teachers, we encourage you to become an active part of our program. We strive to collaborate and build a strong partnership to allow us to understand and better meet the needs of your child. We invite you to volunteer and participate in our classroom. Children are proud when their parents take an active role in their school. We also invite you to join our Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) to help us refine and improve our program. Our mission is to build strong and lasting relationships with our students and families that support creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning. Through our Alumni Events we have the opportunity to follow our students and families as they grow and develop into life-long learners!
