Hugo is a Post-Doctoral research associate at the Center for Global Change and Earth Observations, Michigan State University. He has a background in geography specialising in satellite remote sensing and completed his Ph.D. at the Global Change Institute, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Hugo's research investigates how biogeophysical variables derived from satellite measurements respond to long-term global changes.
