Hello, my name is Hugo Parada Ríos, I was born in San Bernardo, Chile. Since October 2025, I am a postdoc at Inria Nancy-Grand Est, team SPHINX, affiliated with the Institut Élie Cartan de Lorraine, supervised by Alessandro Duca and Rémi Buffe. From October 2023 to September 2025, I was a postdoc at the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse, supervised by Franck Boyer. I defended my PhD thesis at the Laboratory Jean Kuntzmann in Grenoble, France, under the supervision of Emmanuelle Crépeau and Christophe Prieur. I finished an M.Sc. in Mathematics under the supervision of Eduardo Cerpa and Patricio Guzmán at Federico Santa Maria University.
Research interests:
Stability and controllability properties of coupled PDEs (KdV, parabolic, hyperbolic, etc.), with focus on network structure.
Geometric and quantum control
Stabilization in the presence of complications, such as saturation, delays, or perturbations.
Recently, I started exploring numerical methods for plasma physics.
