Meegan Hughes came to East Meadow in 2003 after teaching at the high school and college levels. Mrs. Hughes has an escape artist terrier mix named Kila Róisín, and a gorgeous Siamese Ragdoll mix named Django Geneviéve. Yoga, biking, going on adventures with her husband, Frankie, and making music are some of ways she enjoys life to the fullest every day. She has been studying Spanish daily since 2022 and loves learning new languages. Teaching has been Mrs. Hughes's declared destiny since the 1st grade. She is so proud of her students, both in and out of the classroom and is humbled to teach in such a supportive community. Being able to share music is incredibly satisfying life's work.
