Hello Huff Hawks!
Welcome to Huff's STEAM site! This page is meant to be a reference for our families to have one place to look for STEAM resources for students grade levels K-5. Each week we will post your student's assignments and activities for the week on this page under their STEAM teacher's name. We will also add links to other STEAM based resources for your student to explore on their own.
Our goal for distance learning is to continue to have students engage in their environment with the perspective of "thinking like a scientist." Many of our activities will focus on observations, developing their skills in their Science Notebook, and participating in minimal material investigations. Additionally, students should be able to complete these activities independently, but we encourage you to join in on the science fun. Many of our explorations start with noticing a phenomena in our natural world, and then generating questions to why it happen or what causes the event. One of simplest and best skills to foster during this time is curiosity! Support your student asking questions about something they notice, and motivate them to discover the answers on their own.
