Life Under Water Film Festivals
Living Oceans Jackson Hole Films on Tour with the United Nations
We held two film festivals this year in celebration of World Wild Life Day and with the Living Oceans Jackson Hole Films on Tour with the UN. The first was at Starr Library in May where we showed 8 films and had a talk from the Hudson Valley Estuary Program. We had hands-on marine artifacts and educational materials and, of course, popcorn. Our second film festival took place as part of Sinterklass, a Christmas and winter celebration in Rhinebeck that draws thousands of people. The honored animal this year was the Sturgeon - perfect for the theme of Life Under Water! We also showed a Riverkeeper film. Thanks to everyone who joined!
Rhinebeck Science Foundation (RSF) Gala
We contributed to the creation of the recycled plastics fish for the RSF "Call of the Sea" themed Gala. Do your part to reduce plastic pollution in our waterways. 80% of plastic pollution starts on land! See resources below.
