The Hudson Hurricanes (originally called the Kamikaze Kanoers) was thought to have started in 1979 with one 6 person relay team, one canoe and no uniforms.  Coach Lois Gesner "Mrs. G" was a coach from the beginning to 2018.  Her daughters, Patrice & Denean, were on the first teams.
