The Bricks are In!
Thank you to everyone who purchased a customized brick in May and supported Home & School. The bricks were installed in the "H" in the courtyard, and the brick laying service was provided at no cost by Pro Masonry Builders. Now you will forever be a part of Hudson High!
As a parent/guardian of a Hudson High School student, you're automatically a member of the Hudson High School Home & School Association (HHS H&SA), so welcome to the club!
OUR PURPOSE
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization whose mission is to - Enhance and support the educational experience at Hudson High School, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parental involvement, and to improve the environment at Hudson High School through volunteer and financial support.
If you volunteer in any capacity where you have contact with students, you need a CORI (criminal background) check. Fill out a CORI application in the Hudson High School main office or Hudson Public Schools Administration Building (155 Apsley Street) and bring a photo ID. This must be cleared before particiapting as a volunteer.
Like most organizations, HHS H&SA depends upon volunteers to assist with projects, programs, and events including:
Fundraisers — Help us research and implement new fundraisers like dining out nights, raffles, Little Caesars
Junior Prom Reception — We sponsor a red carpet event for the Junior Prom, as well as the DJ and a photo booth op. It is a fun and well received special activity that the town comes out to see!
Dances - Help decorate or chaperone
Staff Appreciation Luncheon—Donate door prize items and assemble door prize gift baskets. Contribute food and/or beverages. Help set up the luncheon, work during the luncheon, and/or clean up afterwards in the HHS cafeteria.
9th Grade Vision and Hearing Screenings—Assist HHS Health Office staff with escorting students to-and-from the Eye/Hearing Mobile, recording vision and hearing results, and managing the flow of students.
Promote Box Tops for Education—Use the mobile app to submit your receipts for HHS H&SA. Every submission helps!
Annual Health & Wellness Fair—Help set up and/or clean up, decorate, volunteer at certain tables.
Hudson Holiday Coalition—Purchase holiday gifts and/or clothing for an anonymous high school student.
