Class overview
There are three primary learning outcomes associated with this class:
1. Describe relationships between structure and function that exist within the various body systems (skeletal, nervous, respiratory, etc.).
2. Analyze how these various body systems help maintain homeostasis.
3. Arrange anatomical structures into the different levels of anatomical organization (e.g., cellular level or organ level).
About me
I have been teaching Human A&P at PGCC since 2002. I really enjoy working at the community college, since the primary focus of my job is my students.
I earned a bachelor's degree in biology at Wake Forest University in 1989; and I earned a PhD in biology at Florida State University in 1995. While my interest in biology was driven primarily by an interest in animals, somehow I ended up with a job teaching human A&P. Life doesn't always turn out how you expect! Fortunately, I love teaching, and I live on a farm with my wife, Susan, who is a veterinarian. So, I manage to have plenty of animals in my life.
I need to get a better picture!
