Self Introduction

Hello there, thank you for checking out my homepage! My name is Huanchao Shen, you may also know me as 沈涣超, Max Shen, or シンカンチョウ. I'm currently a Computer Architecture Masters student under Dr. Sasaki's guidance at Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Academic History

2018-2021 University of California - San Diego (B.S. Computer Science)

2021-Present Tokyo Institute of Technology (Computer Architecture)

The B.S. Computer Science major at UCSD has familiarized me with the design and analysis of algorithms, basic and advanced databases, computer systems, theory and practice of programming languages, principles of software engineering, operating systems, AI & machine learning, as well as the pedagogy of computational thinking. It shames me to say it, but I don't have much experience with either academic research or practical application at this moment. After all, my first priority during undergrad was to graduate as soon as possible. Thankfully that's no longer the case now that I can take it slow at Tokyo Tech. Give me a little more time, and hopefully you'll see some exciting and impactful research the next time you visit my homepage! 🙏

Unlike academic study, I believe hobbies are the most fun when you're still exploring the possibilities. I can play several musical instruments but am horribly out-of-tune in upper registers; I can cook but have to search up the recipes; I build Gundam models but suck at spray painting; I fix my electronic devices but don't know how to solder. I am mediocre at my hobbies, and I love it this way!
