Maverick Security ("the App") is a school security management application developed for use by security guards and security managers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data, including location information.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Location Data

We collect precise GPS location data (latitude and longitude) from devices used by security guards only.

Location is collected in the background, even when the app is not actively in use

Location data is sent to our secure server every 5 minutes while a guard is logged in

A persistent notification is displayed at all times while background location collection is active

Location collection begins on guard login and stops immediately on guard logout

Location data is never collected from manager or admin accounts

2.2 Account Data

We collect the username and employee details provided at login, including employee code, name, and role.

2.3 Incident Data

Guards may submit incident reports containing text descriptions and photos taken using the device camera.

2.4 Device Data

We collect the device IP address at login for security audit purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

4. Data Sharing

Your data is shared with:

Your employer (the school) — security managers can view guard location history, attendance, and incidents

Our hosting server — data is transmitted to mavericktest.opusinfiniti.com for storage and processing

No third parties — we do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third-party advertisers or analytics providers

5. Data Retention

Location data is retained for operational and audit purposes as determined by your employer

You may contact your employer or system administrator to request deletion of your personal data

6. Permissions Used

Permission Reason

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION Precise GPS tracking of guard patrol routes

ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION Fallback location for older Android devices

ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION Continuous 5-minute guard tracking while app is backgrounded

FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION Running the persistent location tracking foreground service

CAMERA Capturing photos for incident reports

POST_NOTIFICATIONS Showing the foreground service tracking notification

7. Security

All location and user data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to the management server is restricted to authorised school security personnel only.

8. Children's Privacy

This app is intended for use by employed security personnel only. It is not directed at children under the age of 13.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to your location history

Request deletion of your personal data
