II. Work Experiences from 2007 to 2016
1. September 1- November 30, 2007 I worked as an English teacher in Lalibela
High school.
2. 2007-2012 I worked in Mizan_Tepi University as assistant Instructor,
Instructor, assistant lecturer and lecturer
2.1. I have participated in many activities of the University (teaching, research, and community
service and in various committee works)
3. 2013 till now I am working in University of Gondar, I have had accomplished some of the following
mentionable tasks:
ü I have been working as a representative of committee of the implementation of change tools of the then school of Education now Faculty of Education since mid 2013;
ü I have been working as public and international relationship representative of the school/faculty of education since 2013 to the present;
ü I worked as a member of scholarship, promotion and recruitment committee of the school/faculty of education for one month (August,2014 ), thereafter I have been working as chair man of the committee;
ü I have participated as co-implementer of the community service project entitled “Awareness raising program in special needs education for supervisors, education bureau officers and teachers” in both North and South Gondar Zones. Specifically speaking; I have offered training at Amba Giorgis (North Gondar) and Debre Tabor (South Gondar) for about 100 trainees for four days;
ü I have developed two community service proposals on sign language training and pedagogy training for teachers working with students with special needs education in the year 2015 and 2016.
ü I have worked/working as peer reviewer of mega research proposals submitted to the school/faculty since 2013;
ü I have been presenting research out puts in the annual student-research conference in the University of Gondar since 2013 and in others nationally since 2020;
ü Besides, teaching special needs education courses at the department of Special Needs and Inclusive Education, I am serving as a pedagogy teacher for a block course entitled “Teaching Skills (TEKS 601) for MSC students in advanced Clinical Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Surgical Nursing Midwifery, Physiotherapy and Anesthesia students since 2014;
ü I am one of the faculty member who is teaching and advising masters students at the department of Special Needs and Inclusive Education both at summer and regular programs;
ü I have offered one day free community service on “ Active learning implementation and awareness training on special needs education “ for 20 teachers of Chechela primary school of Gondar City Administration, in 2014;
ü I have played an active role in the undertaking of workshop to the university’s faculty organized by school of education entitled “the 21st century Technology and education” by Dr. Delta Cavner an Associate Professor of South Babtist University of USA;
ü I have worked as chairman of 1 to 5 group arrangement of students of the department of special needs and inclusive education from 2014 to Nov, 2016;
ü I have played an active role in the curriculum workshop of the school/faculty of education run in 2015;
ü I have played an active role in the writing and organizing the article of school of education and public display of school/faculty of education at the 60th diamond Jubilee of the University of Gondar 2014; and
ü I have developed a community service project entitled “A sign language skills training for teachers teaching in integrated classes of Tsadiqu Yohannes primary school, in 2015. And pedagogical training for high school teachers of North Gondar and Gondar City administration;
ü I have been one of the STRECH team in University of Gondar to collaborate with team of Queen’s University of Canada to win a grant from Master Card Foundation;
ü I have been team of Appear Project of Austria to win fund in Collaboration with Dilla and Addis Ababa University;
ü In fact, I have involved in numerous activities of the university which will be difficult to mention all the things here; however,
ü I have worked as the coordinator of, the office of the Community Service of School/Faculty of Education.
